Welcome to Rangoli: Classic Indian Cuisine

Thanks for your interest in our restaurant, Rangoli, where we offer up the best quality classic Indian cuisine possible. We buy local whenever and wherever we can to support local growers and have created dishes that are true Indian delights. Our food typically comes across as a bit spicy, but we can always, ALWAYS, adjust the heat (spiciness) of any dish to cater to your taste.

Rangoli, which basically means "beautiful design", was the perfect name for our eatery. Rangoli is a form of folk art in India that is practiced daily (and now as festivals) to enhance the beauty of a space and lift the mood of those within by using organic and geometric shapes to create patterns out of colored rice and crushed stone. As you might know, Indian dishes are typically of bright and vibrant colors, so our dining room is designed to feature the food in this way; allowing all of the color to come from select pieces of artwork and most importantly, the food.

Rangoli is located on North Avenue in Chicago, near Western Avenue. We are open for dinner and are also available for ordering Takeout, Catering, and Private Parties (click here for more information). For Takeout orders, please call or fax us your orders. We are open Tuesday through Sunday from 4:30p until 10p; closed on Mondays.
